I like that there is a time for sales and a time for education where there is no expectation of a sales pitch. This makes me feel very comfortable and negates a lot of what I have read on the internet in the beginning, when I was learning about and researching OTA prior to joining. I also like how the staff truly wants to get to know you as a person and not just a money maker for them.
When I was trading on my own I was a consistently losing money, no matter how much I gained. It was a very frustrating experience, so I just gave up. Many years later, I decided to begin looking again for information about trading, saw an advertisement for your services on “Colorado’s Best” on Channel 2 in Denver with Paula Haddock — and I know she promotes “the good guys” so I decided to call. I was pleasantly surprised at how willing everyone was to help us understand the system, and help transition us into the classes. I don’t think I would have signed up on my own without that. I was really impressed with the LACK of attitude, or “we’re the best” mentality, but even more impressed with all of the staff who consistently demonstrated a friendly, helpful, desire to genuinely help everyone learn, regardless of their personal situation, and become successful at trading. I really appreciated the “can do” emphasis on becoming a true professional doing this, and making it your own full-time career and/or business in the longer term. I also found that in interacting with the other students, they seemed to adopt many of the same positive attitudes demonstrated by all of the staff at the training center, and were also becoming like-minded, which was very encouraging. There was NEVER any “smoke and mirrors,” “high pressure,” or anything like that to join the classes, trade, or do anything I didn’t want to — what a refreshing experience!

I am very impressed with the quality of the facility and staff of OTA, but am most impressed with the approach to training new traders. The holistic approach of identifying trading opportunities, proper risk management, successful trade execution, and addressing the psychological framework for trading is the route that I feel would best prepare students for a successful trading career. Making the student feel that they can successfully trade the markets without losing everything is a major hurdle overcome. Wish I had spent my money on education instead of losing trades!

I am not certain of where I really want to go or where I will end up. The important thing is to follow the plan and become more proficient in learning and ensure implementing the plan always. The integrity of your organization comes through loud and clear. You are who you say you are. You are there to provide instruction, provide support and continued learning.

I’ve taken Pro Trader 1 with Tillie & Pro Trader 2 with Chris Manson. The fact that both exude an extreme level of passion to teach people how to trade is incredible. The instructors at OTA never show signs of having a long day, and not even a ‘long’ week of teaching us. In fact, they are even more excited and energized on the last day! They leave us encouraged, motivated and wanting to follow our trading plan.

I took my first OTA class in January 2014. From January until now I traded every day, never giving up, always knowing that one day I will be a successful trader. I knew that if other people could figure out how to trade and do well with the Online Trading Academy strategy I could also learn it and do well with it. Believe me, along the way it was a huge struggle and I certainly had my doubts. I was one of those traders who just had to trade with a live account because “I understood the OTA strategy and I was going to be the one to make it work right out of the gates.” Unfortunately, it did not work out that way for me. I lost about 50% of my account. For the past 10 months I struggled trying to understand why my application of what I thought was the OTA strategy was causing me to lose consistently. As I progressed I found out over and over that I did not understand what I did not understand. Along the path I came to many startling revelations about how price action actually works. It took me 10 months of learning the behavior of price action, all along going from consistently losing money to eventually becoming a break even trader and now being able to trade and make money. I am sure that many of you can relate to the frustrations that I had to go through before everything all of a sudden made sense and entering into winning trades became much easier and much more certain. This past month (October 2014) I was able to increase my account by 40% and am now consistently seeing mostly winning trades. I am a long way from monetary success as my account size is still quite small, but I know now that what I can do with a small account, I will eventually be able to with a large account. It is not how much money you are making each week, but it is consistent winning trades that show that finally I have the skill to make trading a life-long career. I want to thank all of the instructors at OTA who helped me through all of the obstacles in learning to trade successfully. The costs are high, as you all know, and failure was not an option. I stayed with it no matter what, all the waking up early to set up trades before going to work and all the late nights listening to XLT’s have finally paid off. All of the financial cost and all of the pain was worth it. It really was worth it. For those of you who are reading this and who are still struggling to make the OTA strategy work, do not give up! Whatever you do, do not give up. You will eventually reach your goal. Thanks for everything, OTA!

All members of staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. I have taken Pro Trader, Pro Forex Trader and Pro Futures Trader. The instructors gave me a great start in my trading career. I recommend these courses to friends and family all the time! You won’t be disappointed.
